DRiP 100% Kona — 100g

Single-origin 100% Kona, grown on the slopes of Hualālai and Mauna Loa on the Big Island of Hawai'i. Never a blend — the whole bag is Kona, which is rarer than the shelf at the airport would suggest.

Roasted to our own profile by a partner roaster in Hawai'i, and poured on our bar in downtown Honolulu. 100 grams, whole bean or ground, with the roast date on every bag.

Tasting notes

Smooth body, low acidity. Blackberry and cacao up front, bright citrus through the middle, sweet spice on the finish. Forgiving enough for a drip machine, expressive enough for a pour over.

Brewing it

• Pour over — 1:15 ratio, water at 205°F, 3 to 4 minutes total
• Drip machine — 60 g per litre, medium grind
• Espresso — order whole bean and dial in; it takes a longer ratio than most
