ACACIA HONEY, APRICOT, LYCHEE, BLACK TEA
Last year, there was a coffee that received a lot of inquiries about its re-release, even though it wasn't Ethiopian. It's from the Masha farm in Burundi. Many of you may be familiar with this coffee, and I'm delighted to be able to re-introduce it using the same varietal and processing method to those who've waited so long. Last year's coffee offered notes of lychee, apricot, and acacia honey. This season's coffee shares those same aromas, with a lingering black tea note adding even more depth.
The honey aroma is a common feature in all the Burundian coffees I've introduced so far. While not mentioned in the notes, the refreshing sweetness, like cherry candy, that you experience as a warm coffee cools or when enjoyed cold is also captivating. I recommend trying Burundi Masha coffee with a fruity dessert when you need a change of pace.
